Serving stale content

stale-while-revalidate lets the edge answer instantly with a slightly old copy while it fetches a fresh one in the background.

Cache-Control: max-age=60, stale-while-revalidate=600, stale-if-error=86400

With stale-if-error, visitors still get a page if your origin is down, for up to the time you specify.
